Shortly after graduating from the University of Montana in 2020, Emily Hamant moved to Yakima and has enjoyed exploring the surrounding sagebrush-steppe environment. She has a deep passion for conserving and protecting plants, birds, bugs, and fish, and loves community education and outreach. Emily's other passions include a variety of outdoor recreation activities (running, hiking, backpacking, birding, skiing), crocheting, and tending to her houseplants (80!) and cats (2).
