Local Impact  Presentation + Discussion – Drought Resilience With Waterwise Landscapes in Eastern WA


Calling all community leaders,  planners, parks departments, community boards and commissions!  Join the Benton Conservation District Heritage Garden Program and Kennewick Irrigation District for a conversation on waterwise landscaping practices in Eastern WA.  KID will share updates for the 2026 irrigation season including the most current water and drought conditions.  Then, BCD will follow up with information, strategies and resources available to shift to more waterwise landscaping practices in our arid region. Following the speakers will be an opportunity for open, collaborative conversation on how we can foster resilience to drought, build partnerships and promote waterwise landscaping practices in our local communities.
