About the event

Join the Yakima Heritage Garden Program for our Fall 2024 Workshop! Together we'll learn the basics of how and when to plant a native, waterwise garden. Then we'll get out and apply our skills by installing a demonstration garden at the Toppenish Food Bank! All are welcome to this free event!


Where: Toppenish Food Bank 4 N B St, Toppenish, WA 98948, USA

When: Saturday November 2nd 2024 10 AM-1 PM

What to Bring: A spade or digging tool, gloves and water. Long pants and closed toed shoes recommended.


The Heritage Garden Program provides free technical advice, through site visits, custom plant lists, and planting guides. Services are free for residents in participation counties. Program funding for Heritage Gardens in Yakima County is provided by a grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology through the Municipal Subgroup of the Yakima Basin Integrated Plan.
